Of the new emerging hardware manufacturers, one such is axtrom. They have been continually servicing us with most of their latest products for review. We have received speakers and graphics card from them before, and today we take look at their Intenso Wireless Mouse.
Axtrom isn’t known to produce high-end stuff, focusing more on good quality, affordable products. The Intenso is no different with its basic features and unassuming looks. The mouse is entirely made of black matte, with only an arching glossy plastic running over the thumb rest and side buttons. Essentially a notebook mouse, the size is pretty about as normal as a companion mouse should be. For my large hands, who now have become accustomed to Razer Mamba, initially consumed in wholly but later on, aligned to it normally.
The Intenso runs on nano wireless technology powered by a single AAA battery (one provided with the packaging). The axtrom ranges well, offering enough distance for me to sit back from my 32-incher and still operate the PC normally without any jitters. However, I wouldn’t expect it to deliver range from more than 10-15 feet.
To test it out, I fired up Google Chrome for my daily round-up of web surfing. I am the one who uses complicated mouse gestures and drag and drop features extensively to perform various actions without having to touch the keyboard. For it, I need quick response and less drag time with the mouse. The Intenso largely performed well, only faltering on number negligible instances.
I then also tried it out on Bulletstorm, my new mouse benchmark test-bed. Surprisingly, I was able to ‘kill with skill’ just about as normally as I did on Mamba. The mouse supports 800dpi to 1600dpi and it shifted gears without hiccups. Of course, its tiny size and non-gaming grade laser is a far cry for what you must have on your desktop, but if you are on the go, the Intenso enough performance to get through the day.
In conclusion, I would say that I really like the axtrom Intenso mouse. It’s nice and compact, its black which goes well when you are gaming, and it packs in enough muscle to get day-to-day browsing and a bit of gaming on the side. If you are on the prowl for a notebook mice, give axtrom a look.
